Kaleidoscope

A Kaleidoscope operates on the principle of multiple reflection, where several mirrors are placed at an angle to one another. Children love to see these reflections and they get so exited when turning the Kaleidscope and the tumbling of the colored objects presents varying colors and patterns. This is fun for all ages. I got this kaleidoscope from Zgallerie. It is very attractive for all ages. Children close one eye and see through it. My younger ones looking at the older ones try it, but can't close one eye.

Heavy and Light

One of the important sensorial lessons this september is Heavy and Light. This lesson helps children to realize what is heavy and what is light. In this lesson children weight the objects in their hand and feel if they are heavy or light to weight.

Needle and Thread

This lesson helps Children build Pincer Grasp, concentration and coordination. I am doing this lesson as a beginner sewing lesson. During summer I had some older kids and I realized that they had no idea about how to put thread in needle. I thought this will be a great lesson for kids to learn about needle and threads. For this lesson I used child safe needles ( I used plastic needles), and Thread.
